Step away from the familiar and immerse yourself in a day of creativity and exploration.

This 6-hour mixed media art workshop is designed to help you unwind, reconnect with your artistic side, and discover the joy of working with layers, textures, and colors.

Located just a short distance from Old Berwick Town Centre, this workshop welcomes all skill levels, whether you’re picking up a brush for the first time or are a seasoned creator looking to try something new.

What to Expect:

Morning Session:

Ease into the day as we explore a variety of mixed media techniques to create unique collage papers, we'll experiment with spray paints, washes, heavy gel, stencils, and more. This playful, hands-on session will spark your creativity and provide the tools you’ll need for your final piece.

Break for Lunch:

Over lunch, we'll let our collage papers dry and have a sticky beak at what everyone else has created. This is where we all get to learn from each other.

Afternoon Session:

With your newfound skills and materials, you’ll create a landscape-inspired artwork on A3 paper. Guided step-by-step, you’ll layer color, texture, and personal touches, transforming your ideas into a finished piece you’ll be proud to display.

Note: If landscapes aren't your thing and you have a subject matter you like to work with, or you want to work totally abstract- that's great too, we can apply this process to any subject matter.

You'll go home with:

A finished artwork on A3 paper

A selection of interesting collage papers

A record of your collage papers and processes in your sketchbook to continue your experiments at home

New skills and inspiration for further exploration and experimentation.

Knowledge of new materials and ways of working.

What to Bring:

Lunch

Wear an apron or old clothes you don't mind getting paint on

Sketchbook for inspiration, notes, samples

Respirator (Optional)

This isn’t just about creating art—it’s about creating space for yourself. You’ll leave with more than just a finished piece; you’ll take home a renewed sense of inspiration, and the joy that comes from expressing yourself.

Find your flow and join us for a day of creative discovery.

What is Mixed Media Art?

Mixed media art is all about breaking boundaries and giving you the freedom to experiment.

Instead of sticking to just one material, you can combine paint, collage, ink, textiles, or even found objects to create layered, textured, and dynamic pieces.

It’s an expressive, hands-on way to bring your ideas to life—whether you want to capture emotions, tell a story, or simply play with different techniques.

There are no rules, just endless possibilities for you to explore.

Custom Dates & Private Workshops
