Through the Cracks

This painting shows a woman looking at us and all we can see is her eye. 

Who is she? 

It looks almost like she's peeking out from behind a curtain. She can observe us, but we can't know anything about her. Perhaps she is our dark side who peeks out from time to time.

Perhaps she is our subconscious coming forth.

Built up using layers of collage, transparent washes, and even a bit of rubber cement, Through the Cracks is part of a series of works on panel exploring the interplay between our inner and outer worlds.
