When I came across this photo from the photographer Tamara Williams I couldn't help but be captivated by the strong profile of this model. She gazes off into the distance strong and feminine.

To created this painting I first laid down a teal texture, then painted the portrait over the top and sanded it back to reveal the coloured texture underneath.

This highly textured piece evokes a sense of layered nuance.
