Be Drawn in by Her Beckoning Call

This calming piece features a strong black woman who commands your attention.

I was originally inspired by the dramatic lighting and stunning colour palette for this piece. I just love all the magenta highlights set against the dark tones.

This piece was made by first putting down a base of collage and slowly building up the darks and lights through many layers of washes. This piece was my first foray into my signature style of combining  collage with figurative artwork.

Painted on an A4 sheet of paper this design is 8.5” x 10.5” and ready to mount into a standard 11” x 14” frame with an 8” x 10” mount opening.
