A Custom Mural with Soul in Pakenham
Some murals start with an idea.
This one started with a feeling.
I was painting an outdoor mural on a business in Pakenham when Donna came by. She’d been holding onto a vision for her home—quietly, for years. A way to honour her late parents. Something meaningful. Something visible. Something that would greet her every time she came home.
She told me she imagined feathers on the front of her house—blue for her father, yellow for her mother. That alone gave me chills. But as we talked, her idea began to unfold into something even more powerful: angel wings. A symbol of love, memory, and protection. A way to see their presence every single day.

During our design consult, we mapped it out—talking colour palettes, shape, symbolism, and scale. Donna wasn’t sure whether she wanted the bricks painted black behind the mural or left natural, so I created digital mockups for both options, showing her exactly how it would look up close and from a distance. I wanted her to feel completely confident before a single brush touched the wall.

In the end, she chose to keep the bricks bare. Let the texture of the wall tell its own story.
And honestly, the wings turned out better than either of us imagined.
Bright
Striking
Grounded in meaning
Full of quiet power
They now spread across her front wall like a beacon—welcoming her home, holding space for memory, and reflecting her parents’ presence in her everyday life.
Donna told me she felt peace—like something that had been quietly waiting inside her for years had finally found its voice.
And that’s what I love about this work.

A custom mural isn’t just paint. It’s a story. A feeling. A legacy. It’s your way of saying something bold without needing words.
So if you’ve been holding onto an idea, or even just a feeling—maybe it’s time to bring it to your walls.
I create custom murals across Melbourne’s southeast, including Pakenham, and I'd love to help you tell your story—whether it's for your home, business, or something entirely personal.
